Many festivals and annual events happen throughout South Bay. Even though this time of year is a bit slower than the summer and fall, there are still some great choices for fun. Here are some of the top upcoming events found throughout the South Bay area.
7th Annual Southern California Slack Key Festival - January 19th at 2pm
If you enjoy Hawaiian culture and music, you won't want to miss the Slack Key Festival on January 19th. This is the seventh year for the festival and it's been a huge hit every year.
The event will happen at the Redondo Beach Performing Arts Center and will feature plenty of Hawaiian concerts and fun. Grammy nominated artists will be on hand for a VIP Meet & Greet at the PS Zask Art Gallery the night before, as well. Artists performing include:

Tickets range from $30 to $140 depending on where you prefer to sit.
Mayor Amy Howorth will give the State of the City Address - January 22nd from 8am to 10am
The State of the City Address will be delivered by the Mayor on Wednesday, January 22nd. This address will give residents a better idea of how Manhattan Beach is handling their resources. It happens every year and will be presented by the Manhattan Beach Chamber of Commerce.
Stone Brewing Co. Dinner at Hot's Kitchen - January 29th from 6pm to 9pm
The combination of the Stone Brewing Co and Hot's Kitchen will make this a great event for all foodies. It will feature a seven course meal prepared by Chef Sean Chaney, along with beer pairings. The event is $55 per person.
