It's officially summer, when the first week of July rolls around. June gloom has hopefully gone away and the sun is nice and hot. July 4th is one of my most favorite times of Summer. People are taking out their BBQ's and getting them ready for the big holiday week that is ahead. Plenty of yummy treats and a wonderful sense of patriotism is in the air.
It is a wonderful time to get together with friends and family and enjoy the summer time. Of course another added bonus to the 4th of July festivities, is the amazing fireworks display that is so prominent in the South Bay.
Thankfully for us, Manhattan Beach Patch, has put together, plenty of places to check out firework displays in all of Los Angeles. Some local places in the South Bay provide a wonderful display of fireworks. For instance, Redondo Beach puts on a beautiful display where a wide variety of fireworks are timed perfectly and matched to music. At Seaside Lagoon, 200 Portofino Way, Redondo Beach, the fireworks are launched 300 feet in the air filling the entire sky with light. For other options and for a firework display near you, check out the link here and start making plans to attend these amazing firework shows.
It is important to remember, despite all the fun that is going on, to protect your pets. Here are a couple things you can do to protect your most loyal friends:
1. Make sure your pets have propper ID. Make sure dog's and cat's collars are clearly marked with your updated information in case your pet gets lost.
2. Don't use fireworks around your pet. They could get burned or even worse.
3. With all the yummy food around, make sure to avoid giving the left overs to your pet. Some foods can really be harmful to them.
4. Keep Bug Sprays away. Insect repellants and citronella candeles will keep those bugs away but they will be harmful to your pet's nervous system.
As much as we love to have our pets around, it might be better for them to stay at home in an enviroment where they are comfortable and safe.
The Summer brings alot of fun and exciting times! Make sure to enjoy every moment of the festivities!
From all of us at South Bay Residential, we hope you have a happy and safe Independence day!
